Cover image: four connected clusters are lifted together to show the natural curve. This demonstrates the band shape and is not a wearing instruction.
When sourcing DIY lash clusters for an existing beauty brand or retail range, a good-looking tray is only the starting point. You also need to see what happens when the clusters leave the tape, how consistently each style is made and how the finished pack will work in your sales channel.
This checklist explains what to review in a curved-band DIY lash sample before approving your private label order.

Review the curve at the base of the cluster
“Curved band” describes the shape at the base of the cluster. The curl of the individual lash fibers is a separate feature. A front-facing photograph can show the style clearly while making the band look almost straight.
In LashVee’s curved-band collection, the tray tape holds the band straight. Once lifted, the band naturally curves. The shape is designed to follow the eye’s contour and help reduce the tendency for the ends of a cluster to poke or lift.
Ask for both a clear style photograph and a close-up that shows the base from an angle. A continuous pickup video is especially useful because it shows the same product before and after removal.

Check five things in your physical samples
1. Shape after pickup
Compare several clusters from the sample tray. Observe the band after removal and check whether the shape is consistent. Avoid judging the whole style from one cluster or from the tray photograph alone.
2. Appearance and assortment
Check the silhouette, density, finish and proposed lengths against your style reference. Decide whether the pack will contain one length, mixed lengths or a specific style assortment. Keep a record of exactly what was approved so that similar-looking styles are not confused later.
3. Tray presentation
Confirm the number of rows, clusters per row and total clusters per pack. Review spacing, product identification and how easily the product can be seen through the final packaging. The tray layout should be agreed as part of the specification.
4. Packaging for your channel
A shelf-ready retail pack, a wholesale assortment and a brand’s online collection may need different packaging. Discuss the tray, outer structure, artwork, barcode space and style identification together. Confirm available structures, dimensions and material options before finalizing artwork.

5. The approved production specification
Record the style code, lengths, tray layout, packaging version and quantities in your approval. Agree which sample will serve as the production reference and which points will be checked before dispatch. Product photography alone should not replace a clear written specification.
What to include in an OEM inquiry
Send the following details together to make your first quotation more useful:
- Company and sales channel: your brand, wholesale business or retail operation.
- Destination market: where the finished product will be sold and shipped.
- Product brief: style references, proposed lengths and tray layout.
- Quantity: boxes per style, number of styles and estimated total order.
- Packaging brief: your preferred structure, artwork status and examples.
- Timing: the date you need the goods, including time for shipping.
If a specification is still undecided, mark it as open for discussion. It is more useful to compare clearly described options than to request prices for several different packs under the same product name.
LashVee’s curved-band MOQ and production timing
- Minimum order: 200 boxes per style for the curved-band collection.
- Sample production: approximately 10 days.
- Bulk production: approximately 30 days.
These production times begin after style and packaging confirmation and exclude international shipping. Any separate minimum quantities for custom packaging are confirmed in the quotation. Confirm the complete schedule for your particular project before setting a launch date.
