What's Included in LashVee's Packaging Design Service

Most lash brands struggle with packaging because design, dieline, and factory requirements are three separate disciplines. LashVee's in-house team handles all three — so your packaging arrives at the factory ready to run, with zero back-and-forth delays.

🎨

Brand Brief & Concept Design

We start with a structured brand brief — your target customer, aesthetic direction, color palette, and typography preferences. We present two distinct concept directions for your review before any production files are created.

📐

Dieline Creation & Structure

Every packaging structure requires a precise dieline — a flat unfolded template with cut lines, crease lines, bleed areas, and glue zones. We create structure-accurate dielines matched to your chosen box style and tray dimensions.

Print-Ready Artwork Package

The final deliverable is a complete print-ready file package: CMYK artwork at 300 DPI, layered AI/PDF dieline, 3D mockup renders, and factory approval documentation. Your factory receives exactly what they need to begin production.

Brief to Print-Ready in 4–7 Business Days

Our structured five-step process eliminates the guesswork that causes most packaging delays. Each step has a defined output and approval gate, so nothing moves forward until you are satisfied.

1
Day 1

Brand Brief Submission

Complete our structured design brief: brand name, logo files, target aesthetic, color direction, and packaging structure preference. Our team reviews and confirms scope within 24 hours.

2
Day 2–4

Concept Design Presentation

We present two distinct design directions — each with a 3D mockup render and a flat artwork preview. You choose one direction to develop, or request a blend of elements from both.

3
Day 4–6

Revision Rounds

Two revision rounds are included. We refine typography, color accuracy, finish placement, and layout based on your feedback. Additional rounds are available if needed.

4
Day 6–8

Dieline Finalization & Factory Check

The approved artwork is merged with the production dieline. Our production team runs a factory-readiness check — verifying bleed, safe zones, color mode, and layer structure before handover.

5
Day 8–10

File Handover & Production Start

You receive the complete print-ready file package. If you are producing with LashVee, files transfer directly to our production team — eliminating the handover delay that affects most brands.

Avoid production delays: Brands that submit a complete brief on Day 1 consistently achieve factory-ready files within 7 business days. See our production delay checklist →

Your Complete Print-Ready File Package

When your design is approved, you receive a structured file package that your factory can use immediately — no interpretation, no rework, no delays. Every file is named, layered, and documented to factory standards.

  • AI / PDF Dieline File — separate layers for CUT, CREASE, BLEED, SAFE ZONE, and GLUE zones. Spot colors named to industry standard.
  • CMYK Print-Ready Artwork — 300 DPI minimum, flattened for print with embedded color profiles. Separate files per packaging component.
  • 3D Mockup Renders — photorealistic renders of the finished box from three angles, suitable for your website and social media before physical samples arrive.
  • Component Files — separate artwork files for outer box, inner tray liner, insert card, and any labels or stickers in the packaging system.
  • Factory Approval Documentation — a one-page spec sheet confirming dimensions, board weight, finish specifications, and color references for your factory QC team.

Premium Finishing Options for Your Lash Packaging

The finish on your packaging is what customers touch first and photograph most. We design with your chosen finish in mind from the first concept — because finish selection affects typography legibility, logo placement, and color contrast.

Matte Lamination

Velvety, tactile, scuff-resistant. The most versatile premium finish for lash packaging.

Print-Ready File Specifications

If you are bringing your own designer, these are the non-negotiable requirements your files must meet before LashVee's factory can accept them for production. Our design service delivers all of these by default.

Color Mode
CMYK (not RGB)
RGB colors shift unpredictably in print. All artwork must be converted to CMYK before submission.
Resolution
300 DPI minimum
Lower resolution artwork prints with visible pixelation. 300 DPI is the factory minimum; 350 DPI preferred.
Bleed Area
3mm on all sides
Background color and patterns must extend 3mm beyond the cut line to prevent white edges after trimming.
Safe Zone
3mm from trim line
All text and logos must sit at least 3mm inside the cut line to avoid being trimmed in production.
File Format
AI, PDF (print-ready)
Adobe Illustrator (.ai) is preferred. Print-ready PDF with embedded fonts and outlined text is also accepted.
Dieline Layers
CUT + CREASE + GLUE
Layers must be named and use spot colors. Glue zones must be marked NO FOIL / NO UV / NO VARNISH.

Your Packaging Is Your Brand's First Physical Impression

In the lash industry, packaging is not a commodity decision — it is a brand decision. Customers photograph their unboxing. Salons display boxes on retail walls. Influencers hold your packaging on camera. Every touchpoint is a brand moment that either builds or erodes the premium perception you are working to create.

LashVee's packaging design service is built specifically for private label lash brands — not generic cosmetic packaging studios. We understand lash tray dimensions, curl protection requirements, and the retail environments where your product will be sold. That industry-specific knowledge is reflected in every design decision we make.

From your first SKU to a full product line of 12 styles, our design system ensures brand consistency across every box — so your collection looks intentional, not assembled.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about LashVee's lash packaging design service.

No. LashVee's packaging design service is fully managed — you only need to provide your brand brief, logo files, and color preferences. Our in-house design team handles everything from concept development to print-ready dieline files. If you already have a designer, we can also work from your supplied files and handle the dieline and factory approval stages only.
A dieline is a flat, unfolded template of your packaging structure that shows cut lines, crease lines, bleed areas, safe zones, and glue zones. It is the file your factory uses to produce the physical box. Without a factory-approved dieline that matches your box structure and dimensions, your packaging cannot go into production. Most design delays occur because brands submit artwork without a correct dieline.
Our standard turnaround is 4–7 business days from brief submission to first concept presentation. After revisions and factory approval, the complete print-ready file package is typically delivered within 10–14 business days. Rush projects (2–3 day concept turnaround) are available for an additional fee. If you are producing with LashVee, files transfer directly to our production team with no additional handover time.
Two revision rounds are included in the standard service. Each revision round covers typography adjustments, color changes, layout modifications, and finish placement updates. Additional revision rounds are available at a flat fee per round. In our experience, most brands achieve final approval within the two included rounds when they submit a detailed brand brief at the start of the project.
Yes. We regularly design complete packaging systems for brands launching 3–12 SKUs simultaneously. Multi-SKU projects are built on a unified design system — one set of brand rules (typography, color palette, finish combination, logo placement) applied consistently across all SKUs. This ensures your collection looks intentional and cohesive, not assembled from separate designs. Multi-SKU projects also benefit from reduced per-SKU design cost.
You will receive: (1) AI (Adobe Illustrator) dieline file with separate layers for cut, crease, bleed, safe zone, and glue zones; (2) print-ready PDF at 300 DPI in CMYK with embedded color profiles; (3) 3D mockup renders in PNG format from three angles; (4) separate artwork files for each packaging component (outer box, tray liner, insert card, label); and (5) a one-page factory spec sheet. All files are delivered via a shared folder link within 24 hours of final approval.

Design Packaging That Sells Your Brand

From your first concept to a factory-approved print-ready file — LashVee's packaging design service handles every step. Most brands receive their first concept within 4 business days.
