Your Lash Style IS Your Brand Identity

The lash styles you choose are not just product decisions — they are brand decisions. The moment a salon owner or end consumer picks up your product, the curl, fiber softness, and density communicate your brand's position in the market: natural and understated, or bold and editorial.

Most new lash brands make the mistake of trying to offer everything at launch. The brands that build loyal followings are those that start with a clear, opinionated point of view — a signature look that their customers can identify and reorder. Your product line is your brand language.

The Lashvee approach: We help brand owners identify their target market and map the right lash styles to their positioning before a single SKU is confirmed. See our full brand launch framework →

Choose Your Material: Faux Mink, Silk, or Synthetic?

The fiber material you choose determines the softness, weight, and perceived quality of your lash line. It's one of the most important brand decisions you'll make — and it directly affects your price point and target customer.

The 5 Core Styles Every Lash Brand Should Know

These five styles form the foundation of virtually every successful private label lash line. Understanding the technical differences — not just the visual differences — is what separates brands that build loyal customers from brands that compete on price alone.

Five lash extension styles side by side — classic, volume, mega volume, hybrid, and wispy wet look
01 / CLASSIC

Classic Lashes

1:1 Natural Definition

Single fiber applied to each natural lash. The industry baseline — clean, defined, and universally flattering. Controlled by diameter, curl, and length mix.

Best for: Everyday wear, natural markets, first-time extension clients
02 / VOLUME

Volume Lashes

2D–6D Fluffy Fullness

Multi-fiber fans (2–6 fibers) applied to one natural lash. Soft, fluffy, and full without excessive weight. The most popular upgrade from classic.

Best for: Glam markets, salons upgrading clients from classic
03 / MEGA

Mega Volume

8D–16D Dramatic Density

High-density fans for maximum drama. Requires ultra-fine fibers (0.03–0.05mm) to keep weight manageable. The statement SKU for bold brand positioning.

Best for: Bridal, editorial, glam-heavy markets
04 / HYBRID

Hybrid Lashes

Textured Mix

A strategic mix of classic and volume fans. Not a separate product — an assortment strategy. Delivers textured, dimensional results that photograph beautifully.

Best for: Social media–driven brands, content creators
05 / WISPY

Wispy / Wet Look

Trending Editorial

Spiked or wet-look styling using W-shaped fans or pre-made spike clusters. The fastest-growing style category in 2025–2026. High differentiation potential.

Best for: Trend-forward brands, influencer markets

Curl Types & Length Ranges: Build Your Signature Look

Curl is the single most visible specification in your product line — it sets the aesthetic tone of your brand. Length determines the versatility of your SKUs. Together, they define your "house look."

Length strategy: Launch with an 8–14mm mixed tray as your core SKU. This covers 80% of salon mapping needs in a single product. Add 7mm (inner corners) and 15–16mm (dramatic sets) only after reorder data confirms demand. Full starter SKU guide with curl, length & diameter charts →

How Many Lash Styles Should Your Brand Launch With?

The most common mistake new lash brands make is launching with too many SKUs. More styles mean higher MOQ investment, more complex inventory management, and a diluted brand identity. The brands that scale fastest start lean and expand based on data.

A three-phase approach lets you validate demand before committing capital, while building the product depth your customers will eventually need.

Rule of thumb: Your Phase 1 line should be completable in a single order. If your launch SKUs require more than 2–3 supplier conversations, you have too many. Use our lash brand launch checklist →

Brand planning desk scene with multiple lash extension trays and notebook — lash brand SKU strategy
Phase 1 — Launch

3–5 SKUs

Validate your core market with a tight, focused line. Prioritize the styles with the highest reorder potential in your target channel.

  • Classic C curl, 0.12mm, 8–14mm mixed
  • Classic C curl, 0.15mm, 8–14mm mixed
  • Volume CC curl, 0.07mm, 8–14mm mixed
  • Volume C curl, 0.05mm, 8–14mm mixed
  • Optional: D curl for glam-heavy markets
Phase 2 — Expansion

6–10 SKUs

Add styles based on reorder data and customer requests. Introduce specialty curls and trending styles to differentiate from competitors.

  • L curl for downward-growing lash markets
  • Wispy / wet look style
  • Single-length refill trays (11–12mm)
  • Brown or colored classic option
  • Mega volume 0.03–0.05mm fans
Phase 3 — Signature

11–20+ SKUs

Build your brand's signature collection with proprietary styles, OEM custom curls, and exclusive fiber blends that competitors cannot replicate.

  • OEM custom curl profile (brand-exclusive)
  • Cashmere / ultra-fine fiber premium line
  • YY / W specialty fans
  • Branded mapping kit bundles
  • Seasonal limited-edition styles

OEM Custom Styles vs Private Label Ready-Made: Which Is Right for You?

Lashvee offers two paths to building your product line. The right choice depends on your budget, timeline, and how differentiated you need your brand to be at launch.

Private Label

Ready-Made Styles with Your Branding

Choose from Lashvee's existing product range — proven styles with established quality benchmarks — and apply your brand's packaging, labels, and identity.

  • Fastest path to market (4–6 weeks)
  • Lower MOQ (200–500 pcs per style)
  • Proven quality, consistent reorders
  • 20+ styles available immediately
  • Full custom packaging & labeling
  • Ideal for Phase 1 launch

Not sure which path is right for you? Most brands start with private label for their core SKUs and introduce OEM custom styles in Phase 2–3 once they've validated demand. Read our OEM vs ODM decision guide → or explore our OEM/ODM services →

What Makes a Lash Style "Brand-Ready"? Quality Standards

Not all lash styles are manufactured to the same standard. These are the six quality benchmarks Lashvee applies to every style before it qualifies for private label or OEM production — the same standards your brand should require from any supplier.

01

Curl Retention

Curl must remain stable after 72 hours at 40°C / 80% humidity. Unstable curl causes inconsistent sets and client complaints.

02

Diameter Tolerance

Nominal diameter must hold within ±0.01mm across the tray. Diameter drift affects stiffness, weight, and comfort.

03

Strip Bonding

Lashes must release cleanly from the strip without adhesive residue or fiber deformation. Poor bonding causes placement errors.

04

Fiber Softness

Softness is measured by bend stiffness at the midpoint. Overly stiff fibers increase client discomfort and reduce wear time.

05

Fan Symmetry

Volume fans must open evenly with equal fiber spacing. Asymmetric fans create uneven density and slow application time.

06

Batch Consistency

Reorder batches must match the original sample within defined tolerances. Inconsistency between orders damages brand reputation.

Frequently Asked Questions

For a first launch, we recommend starting with Classic (C curl, 0.12–0.15mm, 8–14mm mixed) and Volume (C/CC curl, 0.05–0.07mm, 8–14mm mixed). These two styles cover 70–80% of salon demand and give your brand a solid, repeatable foundation before expanding into specialty styles.
Start with 3–5 SKUs across 2 styles (Classic + Volume). This keeps inventory lean, reduces MOQ pressure, and lets you validate demand before expanding. Most successful lash brands expand to 8–12 SKUs only after their core styles generate consistent reorders.
Faux mink lashes are made from ultra-fine PBT fiber that mimics the softness and taper of real mink fur — they're the industry standard for premium brands. Silk lashes use a slightly thicker, glossier fiber with a more uniform diameter. Faux mink is softer and more natural-looking; silk offers more dramatic shine. Both are 100% synthetic and cruelty-free.
Yes. Through OEM customization, Lashvee can develop proprietary curl profiles, custom diameter combinations, branded tray configurations, and exclusive fiber blends. Custom styles typically require a minimum order of 200–500 trays per SKU and a 4–6 week development timeline for first samples.
C curl and CC curl consistently drive the highest reorder rates across most markets. C curl is the universal workhorse — it suits most natural lash directions and delivers a clean, lifted look. CC curl adds more drama while remaining wearable for daily use. We recommend launching with both and adding D or L curl only after demand proves it.
Standard private label MOQ starts at 200–500 trays per style. For OEM custom development (new curl profiles or proprietary fiber blends), MOQ is typically 500+ trays per SKU. Mixed-style sample kits are available from 50 trays per style to help you validate before committing to full production runs.
